2. Intellectual Property, Asset Ownership & Commercial Licensing

We believe in total creative freedom and data sovereignty for our users:

• Your Encoded Data: You retain 100% complete ownership and title to any content, URLs, strings, or data you input into QRKeep. We claim no intellectual property rights over your encoded payloads.
• Generated Visual Assets (SVG and PNG): You are granted an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly display, and commercially exploit any QR code vector SVG or raster PNG file exported from QRKeep.
• Commercial Freedom: You may print generated codes on commercial retail packaging, restaurant table standees, published books, apparel, promotional billboards, and client marketing collateral without paying licensing fees and without providing attribution or credit to QRKeep.
• Platform Property: The QRKeep brand name, wordmarks, domain names, UI designs, color tokens, and web application codebase remain the exclusive intellectual property of the platform operator.

3. Acceptable Use Policy & Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use QRKeep solely for lawful purposes. You must not use the utility to generate QR codes that:

• Direct users to malicious websites, malware or ransomware downloads, phishing scams, or credential-harvesting pages (“quishing” attacks).
• Facilitate deceptive practices, financial fraud, illegal gambling, or unsolicited commercial spam.
• Infringe upon any third party's copyright, trademark, trade secret, or privacy rights.
• Distribute defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, abusive, or violent content in violation of applicable regional or international laws.

Furthermore, you agree not to engage in automated abuse, denial-of-service attempts, or malicious script injections targeting QRKeep's hosting infrastructure.

4. Pre-Press Proofing & Physical Print Verification Disclaimer

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING PHYSICAL PRINT RUNS: QR codes adhere to strict mathematical geometry (ISO/IEC 18004). However, optical readability in the physical world depends on numerous external variables beyond our control, including paper stock, ink bleed, laminate glare, printer resolution (DPI), color luminescence contrast, module size, and camera lens quality.

Your Proofing Obligation: You are solely and exclusively responsible for thoroughly testing, proofing, and scanning sample prints of your generated QR codes prior to committing to mass commercial print runs, billboard installations, product packaging manufacturing, or event collateral fabrication.

Always test your physical sample prints using multiple smartphone models (both iOS and Android) under varying ambient lighting conditions. Under no circumstances shall QRKeep or its operator be liable for any printing expenses, material waste, manufacturing losses, or re-printing costs resulting from unreadable or misconfigured codes.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

QRKeep is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, QRKeep expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the web utility will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of defects. While the QR matrix code itself is permanent and will never expire, we make no warranty or guarantee regarding the ongoing availability, security, or uptime of the third-party destination websites, cloud files, or servers that your QR codes point to.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall QRKeep, its creator (Rohit Bhatu), or its hosting affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to:

• The use of, or inability to use, the QRKeep generator tool.
• The scannability, unreadability, or optical degradation of printed QR codes.
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.
• Any conduct, links, or content of any third party reachable via a generated code.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless QRKeep and its operator from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal and accounting fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the tool, or any unlawful content encoded within your generated codes.

8. Governing Law & Severability

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

9. Advertising, Cookies & Third-Party Advertising

To keep QRKeep accessible and free forever without subscription paywalls, the website may display digital advertising served by Google AdSense and affiliated advertising networks.
